" In 2011 landscapes were simplified, I painted in acrylic exclusively and introduction of the twins into my painting began with 'Journey Monochrome Study' pictured below. It was a year of underlying themes boiling up and cementing, most works are character based with the characters frequently outside the picture plane but within the storyline. It's as if I was often simly waiting for the characters to enter the scene of their own accord. while I was constructing the setting where the twins would self-appoint.
